Wholemeal Spelt Bread

This is a simple alternative to Paul Hollywood’s Spelt Bread I made earlier.

Substitute wholemeal spelt flour for plain spelt flour and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes as the dough is denser and requires a little more time in the oven. Other than that follow the instructions in the link above. The wholemeal spelt flour produces bread with a crisp cracker like crust that is light and airy inside. So if you’re wheat intolerant it’s a great alternative to the limited selection of dense and claggy supermarket varieties.
